Our Keynote Speaker—Gary Lundgren

GARY LUNDGREN is the associate director of the NSPA [National Scholastic Press Association]. He has earned the CSPA Gold Key, JEA Medal of Merit and the NSPA Pioneer Award. Prior to joining NSPA in 2017, he was a Senior Marketing Manager for Jostens for 20 years. During that time he was responsible for the company's educational offerings and launched the Digital Classroom, Look Book and Jostens Adviser University in addition to editing the 1,2,3 Yearbook Curriculum and Jostens Adviser & Staff magazine. Lundgren started his career at the University of Arkansas as Student Publications Adviser. During his decade at the university, the Razorback yearbook and Arkansas Traveler newspaper were consistent Crown and Pacemaker winners. In 1996-97 Lundgren also served as executive director of ASPA.

Each STAFF will need:

  • 2 copies of your last yearbook
  • a camera
  • last year’s ladder
  • 2019 yearbook kit
  • 2019 theme and design ideas
  • flash drive to save work
  • total dollar amount of 2018
  • ad sales and book sales*
  • total dollar amount spent on 2018 supplies (cameras, ink, printers, etc.)*

Each STUDENT will need:

  • pen or pencil
  • one notebook
  • design ideas (bring examples!)
  • a great attitude

Each Photography Student will need:

  • his/her own camera with memory card
  • laptop for editing photos
  • memory card reader
  • batteries or chargers
